Batching
Batching allows you to organize your data
in a way that suits your purposes. It also
allows for easy exporting of the data to
be used in creating customized contrast
groups.
If your candidates will be from just one
‘group’ such as experienced
sales people, or managers, then creating
batches with month-year names may work best
for you.
If you have different groups of people,
then creating batches such as “Inexperienced
Sales” and “Insurance Sales”
will make it easier for you to organize
your data. You could also organize them
as “Inexperienced Sales Feb-03”
which allows you to group your data by date
and specific group type.

Exporting Prescription
Data
You can export your data for prescriptions.
Here are the steps:
- From the menu toolbar on the ROSE PsychScore®
Main Screen, select "Tools,"
then click on "Export Rx Scores."
The Export Rx Scores window opens.
- Click on a batch name to turn its icon
into a file folder. Click to open the
folder and display a list of test records
in this batch.
- To select an individual test record
to export, click on the checkbox next
to the candidate name. A checkmark appears
in the box to let you know it has been
selected successfully.
- OR -
Click on "Select This Batch"
to select every test record in the batch.
(You may also unselect test records by
clicking them individually or clicking
"Unselect This Batch.")
NOTE:
You must first open a batch (i.e., the
list of individual test records is displayed)
and highlight the batch name (by clicking
on it) before you can use the "Select
This Batch" option.
- Enter a file name in the File Name
window. The name must include a .txt extension.
- From the Template drop-down list, select
the SPQ Rx template to format the data
in the export file.
- Click on "Export" to export
the data, or "Exit" to exit
without exporting.
- Repeat Steps 2-6 to create additional
export files, or click "Exit"
if you have no other data to export.

Firewalls
If you are behind a firewall, you will need
to modify a setting in the Options screen.
Here’s how:
- From the Main Screen, click on the
“Options” button.
- The entry for Connection
should say “internet”. Delete
that entry and replace it with: ts,64.217.203.129,80,1
- Click on the “OK” button.

Proxy
Servers
If you are also behind a proxy server, you
will need to edit the Rose3.properties file.
You will also need to get the following
information from your IT department:
- Proxy server name
- Proxy server port
- Proxy username
- Proxy password
Then using the information above, add the
following lines to the file "Rose3.properties"
in the Rose3 folder (use Notepad to open
and edit the file) after the "# configuration
file" line:
proxyname=
proxyport=
proxyusername=
proxypassword=
Save the file, and then start the Rose3
PsychScore application for the first time.
